CROZET, France, Aug. 28, 2022–Evelyn Eger and Westminster won the CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday for a double victory at Jiva Hill in only the fourth Big Tour competition for the German partnership.
Evelyn and the 17-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 72.745% for the win in the Special a day after scoring 72.609% in the Grand Prix, both personal best scores.
The 24-year-old who began competing at international level three years ago took over riding Westminster from German team rider Frederic Wandres. Both ride for Hof Kasselmann.
France’s Olympic and world championship combination of Morgan Barbançon and Sir Donnerhall II OLD, a 16-year-old Oldenburg stallion, won the Grand Prix Freestyle on a score of 76.385%.
Luxembourg’s Sascha Schulz and the 10-year-old Dayman, a Westfalen gelding, were runner-up on 76.175%.
