High-level performance, elegance and a great show
After a very high quality 2022 edition, where exceptional riders and the public were at the rendezvous, the CDI Jiva Hill Stables 2023 returns at the beginning of August in Crozet, a small mountain village in the Ain county, (01) located twenty kilometers away from Geneva (SUI), for a magnificent 6th edition even more prestigious, very promising and of a very high level.
Ideally located in the heart of the Haut-Jura nature park in Crozet, facing Europe’s highest peak, Mont Blanc, this exceptional site is well known to the dressage world. Every summer, Jiva Hill Stables welcomes the world’s top dressage riders for its International Dressage Competition (CDI).
This year, the show is getting a facelift, with a number of major new features: the Competition has been upgraded to 5* level, and a number of new, even more prestigious facilities have been built.
The Competition moves upmarket with the arrival of a CDI5*.
This year, from August 2nd to 6th, all eyes will be riveted on this green and serene bower to admire the sports performances of competitors taking part in 21 international events divided into 7 levels of competition: a CDI YH for young horses aged 7, a CDI U25 reserved for riders aged 25 and under, a CDI Am and CDI1* for amateur riders, a CDI2*, CDI3* and a new CDI5*, a level prized by the world’s elite.
This new label, the most challenging of the 5 days, will feature two 5* events – the Grand Prix on Saturday and the Grand Prix Freestyle/Spécial, a freestyle test to music, on Sunday – which will enhance the show.
In all, more than 22 nations, represented by the best riders and horses, will perform a series of movements in the arena, under the expert eyes of the international judges and their president, Mr. Raphaël Saleh, as well as those of the public. A program that promises great sport and a colorful 6th edition!
Jiva Hill Stables gets a facelift
Built in 2005, Jiva Hill Stables are located in the heart of a 50-hectare estate in Crozet (France), 15 minutes from Geneva, and feature top-class facilities dedicated to dressage practice.
This year, to the delight of riders, grooms, owners, judges and the public, Jiva Hill Stables is getting a facelift, with the construction of prestigious new facilities including a Hospitality Terrace, an indoor riding arena, a Visitors’ Tribune and a new Exhibitors’ Village.
For this 2023 edition, while horses, riders, grooms and owners will, as always, be the focus of the organizer’s attention, the public, welcomed free of charge during the four days of the Concours, will be able to enjoy the animations and, why not, try their luck at a tombola to win exceptional gifts. Gourmets will be treated to a variety of seasonal cuisine at the competition restaurant, courtesy of the Lion d’Or chefs (online reservations available). They can sample the buffet offered by chef Jean François Vasseur at the “Hangar du Jiva Hill Resort”, (musical entertainment on Saturday evening), discover the menu of the new Italian restaurant “Le Jardin”, or share the finest products at the “Le Jiva” restaurant, while sports enthusiasts can try their hand at golf or water-skiing. In the heart of the exhibitors’ village, a food court featuring dishes prepared by chefs Emmanuel Ollivier, Lionel Pimenta and Greg Saiter will delight the taste buds of gourmets.
So many good reasons to make the most of your vacations and come to Crozet to discover the CDI5* at Jiva Hill Stables in an atmosphere before the holidays come to an end…
